1. Pray regularly
Prayer is communicating with God through sharing your thoughts, needs and desires to
live for Him.
Don’t worry about anything. Instead, tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give
thanks to him. (Philippians 4:6,7)
There is one thing we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)
2. Read the Bible daily
This is often how God speaks to believers and how believers know what to believe and
how to live life.
God has breathed life into all of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, a man of God can be
completely prepared to do every good thing. (2 Timothy 3: 16, 17)
3. Fellowship with other believers, worshiping God and serving others
Connect to a body of believers. Participate in the life of a vibrant, Bible-believing church
where you can be encouraged and built up in Christ.
Let us consider how we can stir up one another to love. Let us help one another to do good works. Let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us cheer each other up with words of hope. Let us do it all the more as you see the day coming when Christ will return. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
4. Share your faith
Tell others (family, friends, school or work associates) about your new life in Christ.
I want us to cheer each other up by sharing our faith.
His followers will preach in his name. They will tell others to turn away from their sins
and be forgiven. People from every nation will hear it, beginning at Jerusalem.
5. Live your life for Christ
But put God’s kingdom first. Do what he wants you to do. Then all of those things will also be given to you. (Matthew 6:33)
Don’t live any longer the way this world lives. Let your way of thinking be completely changed. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you. And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2)
